Completely Boxer Crazy
Monty is becoming a real pain at the moment. We have had frost which sent him racing arround like crazy but now we have snow and he's just a pure lunatic.
I'm actually becoming quite frightened of him. He has never been a dog for jumping up at me or other people, even as a puppy but he's now started doing this.
His morning exercise has always been off the lead, a good hour racing arround the fields with his sister Sophie. However, since the snow came he just leaps up at me. I'm only 5'5 and on his hind legs he comes up to my chin. His 70 pound plus weight, hitting you at speed, if you are not ready for it, will simply knock you off your feet.
He's started to copy his sister , who jumps up to get my sisters gloves.
Today we were out on our own, I had wellington boots on and he just started attacking them. I just could not stand still as his teeth were biting through the rubber. I dragged him off by his collar and made him sit but as soon as I let go, he just went for them again. I finally put him on the lead to take him home but he grabbed the lead and started spinning me round and round. In the end I just let him go saying "sod you" and walked off. The fact is he then followed me looking puzzled so I know he thought we were playing.
I know you hould just stand still, arms folded but my sister is witness to the fact that he just jumps higher at me. Apart from waiting for spring does anyone have any tips to get me through the snow season.
