I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on the best thing to feed Lizzie, I ask because she seems to be more interested in her big brother's food and the cat's...she is on Purina One Puppy (the main ingredient is Lamb) and she likes it, but not as well as Cody's food or the cats. I did a lot of research about what to feed Cody as Great Danes have certain nutrient requirements and all, but are there any resources with regards to boxers, specifically white ones...or is there no difference? Any suggestions anyone has are greatly appreciated.

Just cruise the "feeding" forum, you will find TONS of info and probably end up more confused than before:rolleyes: It is a personal choice that takes loads of research and there is no one right food for your pup...

PUPPY Food

Hi Jenn.

You're probably right, but then it doesn't take a lot to confuse me. I will look at that link, weren't you the one with the S.O. going on the Atkins Diet? I think I would do or eat anything to lose weight.

Thanks.
jen :)

Yep, she started offically yesterday, has a pretty good headache from no caffine, but she says she is ok.. Time will tell I guess...

Back on topic, run a search for "WDJ top 10" it is a good area to start your research!!

Puppy food

Our puppy is 9 months old and we have only fed her Adult dog food. Our Breeder and Vet said the puppy foods are too hot for boxers and she is perfect. Solid Gold was the one we have used and we have been very pleased with the results but I think any of the preservative free ones are generally very good. And OH yea we fed her the supplement of seameal about a pinch a bowl.
That is our experience only.

I feed Solid Gold to my pup and he loves it. My vet also told me that puppy food is a scam buy the dog food industry and pups will do just fine on adult food.

Thanks for the advice, I will talk to my vet and see what he says and I won't panic that she wants to eat Cody's food, maybe I'll let her choose. The food I picked for him I researched and found it to be a good choice, I guess what's good for the dane is good for the boxer! What's the story with this solid gold, I've never heard of it, is it distributed nationwide?
