The perfect puppy EXCEPT!!!!!

My first boxer did the same, if it fit it went out. One day I came home and found a pillow in the back yard and the comforter half way out of the dog door, that's when I started closing the bedroom door. After a while he didn't do it as often, but every now and then I'd find something in the back yard.

We also have a dog door and Billy has just started to do this. I have figured out that he does it because he is bored - it has got too hot here for Billy to join me on my morning run, so he is finding his own way to keep himself entertained - he does it while I am in the house with him!! I don't leave anything lying around and I hide his toys around the house for him find and take outside.
