I use A vitamin from Pet Smart. The brand is "Nutri Vet", and the kind is "Hip & Joint". One of the ingredients is in fact Glucosamine Hydrochloride. I started notcing whe Stella turned about 6 evry oncei a while when she would get up from sleeping on a chair or the couch she was slower, and seemed to be just slightly struggling. Not near as springy as she once was. Thats about when I started giving her and Beau these vitamins. Stella turned 7 on 2-7-05 and she is now much more springy, about like age 4 I would say. She actually can still outrun Beau who is bigger, she just can't keep it up for as long understandibly. I try and mae her lay hard with some running at least 3 times a week or so. Not just to keep her loose, but for her cardiovascular as well. That maynot be a lot compared to some babies, but mine are full time house pests, and thats code for couch potatoes. It seemd as though it took about 6 weeks or so before I really started seeing some of those cat like reflexes come back, and she is still maintaing very well. The directions call for 1/2 tablet per 40 ibs, I just give mine each opne a day, and for the bottle of300 which last approximately half a year fro both its just under $40bucks with tax US.
