hi i'm just wondering if there is a connection between drinking salt water..strange behaviour. I took my 11 month old dog to the beach at the weekend and let her off the lead... she drank some seawater, as we were leaving her behaviour became very bad (jumping at lead and biting it, thrashing around...would not listen to 'no' command but instead got aggressive with me; growling at me and jumping/biting). when she was very young exactly the same thing would happen... everytime i took her to the beach she would misbehave..jumping/biting, so i stopped taking her there whilst i made sure she understood the word 'no' and understood it was wrong to jump and bite, so yesterday was first time in ages back to the beach... and it happened again. elsewhere she sometimes tries to play jumping up and grabbing the lead, and when i tell her 'no' firmly she stops, but after the beach on saturday she seemed quite crazy - i could not stop her by the usual method, it was really quite awful. i was wondering if there could be some connection between the salt water and behaviour, has anybody else experienced the same?
