So last night Tess and I were out for a walk, we got to the local park and I let her off for a run. I kept walking next thing I knew i was stumbling along the road after a Tess tried to trip me up. She thought it was really funny and did "the bean" and gave me a "It wasnt me mummy" look.

Is it just me or do these animals seem to be alot smarter than we give them credit for? Hasd anyone else had the ankle tap?

When we're going to leave for a walk, I actually get "shoved" down the stairs. Skye thinks it's fun to push you behind your knee so your knee collapses. I am truly worried that I'm going to fall down the stairs one of these times.

Um, guys?

It's not endearing when your dog pushes you down or collapses your knees. For any reason. Ever.

It's not cute when your dog thinks it's funny to knock you over.

Mabel is not allowed on the stairs at the same time as a human. She has been taught to "wait." It wasn't hard to teach her, and now she's so conditioned to it that we don't even have to tell her anymore. She just knows to wait until we've gone up or down before she follows. Thresholds, too. We enter the room first.

I love my dog enough to fight a fisher cat for her, but she has her place and I have mine, and if she forgets she's corrected immediately. No way I'm risking me or one of the kids getting our necks snapped by a 60 pound muscle dog bounding over us on the stairs.

I know you love your babies, and I know they love you, and I know they'd never hurt you on purpose...Mabel didn't mean to break my ankle in February, but she did. They're the most lovable breed on the planet, but they're so bouncy and strong and it doesn't take more than a split second for an accident to happen. Please be careful.

Well today, I pushed him back with my hiney and he went nuts and "pinched" me in the rear. So, not funny anymore. I grabbed him and held him down "NO BITING, EVER". I think he got the point.

Yeah, Justice has crossed the line once or twice on the stairs and now she goes first (she's quicker and less patient and it makes her feel more important). I've taught my 5 year old "wait" and when she's at the bottom he goes. She's also done some knee threatening moves and it always surprises her when I alpha roll her, but she's learning quick. Gotta teach them before the get big enough to be deadly.

We don't have stairs, but when we come back inside from going potty, Beau will just stop in the doorway and if I'm not watching, I'll run into him and we both almost fall. I usually ask him if he's trying to kill mommy, but he's too busy beaning to give an answer!
