Lennox
Boxer Booster
Thank you so much for archiving user profiles and posts. I joined this amazing site back in July of 2000 when we got our puppy, Lennox. This board is a wealth of information and helped immensely in raising Lennox. Needless to say, with life experiences, smartphones, Facebook, Lennox not needing as much help, and etc. I haven't been on here in awhile (8 years since last post?)
Now the sad part, Lennox has an appointment next Monday to be put down. She doesn't have one specific life threatening ailment but her hips are shot and is on a daily dose of Metacam for pain. Even with the pain medicine she sleeps all day gets up to eat a couple times, and goes outside to do her business. She frequently will fall down when traversing stairs and bumps into walls due to cataracts. It was a difficult decision because as most boxers, she has never whimpered or whined throughout it all.
Being able to look back at my posts and remember how lively and happy Lennox was "back in the day" definitely helps with this difficult decision. Also, taking a trip in the "Boxerworld Time Machine" is nostalgic, bringing me back to a different time in my personal life and helping me realize how huge a part of my life Lennox has been. My original profile pic was of Lennox and my then 10 month old daughter. I have updated that photo in my gallery with pic of both my daughters and Lennox taken last summer.
So thank you Boxerworld for being a part of Lennox's amazing 12 years of life!
