Hi, our Champ is now 4.5 months and I am not sure if his testes have dropped. It feels as if there are two little "guys" in his "bag", but they are not easily noticable. I have read other threads and it seems that it may take up to 6 months for the testes to drop. Is this true?? If they have not dropped, then what do I feel in his scrotum? Are there disorders/defects associated with dogs whose testes don't drop or are late dropping??
Any input or knowledge is appreciated!!

they should be descended by 8-12weeks... we hoped and waited with our boy Cassius til he was 1yr old because we had hopes of showing him. (the other never dropped and we had him neutered when he turned 1) if they are both in the sac, they shouldn't be hard to find/feel. though, i've heard if its cold, it can cause a pup to pull them back up. if a dog's testis are not descended he runs a higher chance of developing cancer. in any case, descended or not, if you do not plan on showing your dog, you should have him fixed... he's better off healthwise, and you take away all chances of uh-oh bredings, and whatnot.
