Much Worse

My poor Carson. He woke up this morning ten times worse then he has been. He had done nothing but lay around and shake all day long. I just met the vet at his clinic. He gave Carsey another shot of steroids (third in three days on top of the predisone I've been giving him) and is going to keep him the rest of the weekend. We are going to try and rule out him being allergic to something in my house and he's also going to switch food on him. The last three days all poor Carson has eaten is boil chicken and rice or boiled hamburger and rice.

Please keep Carson in your prayers. I'm so worried about him.....he really looks and acts terrible. Madison is looking all over the house to find out where Carson has gone to :(

The vet just called home and said Carson is doing better. He gave him a special food but Carson won't eat. He asked that I leave him for another day so he can watch him and see what happens. I really do have a wonderful vet and am thankful.

I miss my cuddle bunny. He's such a sweet boy.

this happened to us...

My female Lily has this problem. The vet said that she had to have been biten by a spider! I was all freaked, cause she sleeps in my bed, which meant there had to be spiders in my bed! i hate bugs! But after about 2 weeks or so after the first 3 visits to the vet and the shots and all, she started hiving up again. This time we remembered that she had gone into my garden and picked herslf some tomatos. then it happened again, also she had been picking her own veggies! so we guess it is not actually a bite, but a reaction to thr tomoatos.... good luck! i know it is scary..

Sydney and allergies

We too are having trouble with our two year old with allergies, hives, and raw red muzzle. If you find anything out please let me know. We have tried everything short of having her tested. Our vet said it was probably a spider bite too, but I am not so sure. It breaks our hearts watching her scratch until she bleeds.

Hives are the worst! We have been battling hives with our max and madison since we brought them home! We keep stock in benadryl and it seems to provide relief. There have been a few times when the hives were so bad and benadryl wouldnt help, where we had to take max to the vet. We never did figure out what had caused him to swell up so badly...but I know it is scary! The vet gave him a shot and by the next morning he seemed to be ok. :) Just hang in there...our babies still get them here and there.....and we never know what causes them. I dont think it is the food or it probably would have happened sooner. Probably some sort of bug/spider bite. Although it seems to me that in the summertime our babies seem to get hives very frequently in high temps.
Hope your baby is ok. :)

Baxter got hives from his last immunization. It was awful. he sometimes still gets a few and we too keep beadryl on hand. He has never gotten so bad that he bleeds tho. I hope your baby feels better soon.
