Tearing up the puppy training pad!!

Our puppy loves to tear up her bathroom training pads. And if anyone knows what i'm talking about, it's quite a mess. Does anyone have any sugestions on how to prevent this? She just tears up the pad and then goes to the bathroom next to the mess.

Just curious, why are you using pads? MUCH easier and quicker to potty train without them, IMO.

Is your pup crated? Crating can help with potty training as well. How old is your pup?

She probably thinks of it as a toy, likes the sound, feel etc.....I know my girl would have.

I put a pad in with Sally at night (she's not crated, but is in the 1/2 bath we have - will be crating as soon as I can afford a good crate) and she has NEVER used it - she sleeps all night and doesn't "go" until I let her out in the morning. I put one in with her one day when I was going to be gone and came home to confetti!

I would do away with the pad and get the puppy on a routine of using the bathroom. A schedule is very important at a early age. If you need some pointer i will be glad to help. In fact anyone on here would. That's what we are all here for. Friendship, Support and.....just a little bragging.
