I am so sorry to hear this news. He fought a hard fight. I know that you did everything that you could. I hurts so deep when they leave us. I know what you are feeling, and I will keep you in my prayers.

So Sorry

I too have been following your posts. You had tried everything possible for Tazz and you did the best thing for him. He fought so long and hard, I hope you can feel at ease knowing you helped him to the bridge where he can run and play with all the other boxers and is waiting to be with you again. Just remember he isn't hurting anymore. You will be in my thoughts, i am so sorry for you loss

I am truly sorry to hear about your Taz..
I Know what you are going through, and it's so very hard to make the decision that you made, but it was the right one. I haven't been online much lately, so I just read all that you've been going thru.
I had a female boxer that was fine and then suddenly started exhibiting the exact same behaviour that Taz had. My vet, whom I love, did all kinds of tests and we tried different meds and after a very short time the vet concluded that it could be a brain tumor. I had to make the same decision that you did. It hurts more than words can say, but I had eight wonderful years with Princess,(aka Precious Pup) and I wouldn't change a moment of it. It's been 18 years since I lost her and there are days when it feels much more recent than that.
Please know that my prayers are with you, and that I'm happy to know that Precious has another wonderful playmate in heaven.
You'll have many wonderful memories of Taz, but right now your just going to have to take it a day at a time. Please don't feel guilty about your decision, you did the right thing for Taz and he loves you so much for it.

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Sometimes we have to make these decisions, please do not feel guilty. I read this poem here on Boxerworld once and thought it might help you...........

MAKING THAT FINAL DECISION TO SAY GOODBYE

author unknown

You're giving me a special gift,

So sorrowfully endowed,

And through these last few cherished days,

Your courage makes me proud.

But really, love is knowing

When your best friend is in pain,

And understanding earthly acts

Will only be in vain.

So looking deep into your eyes,

Beyond, into your soul,

I see in you the magic, that will

Once more make me whole.

The strength that you possess,

Is why I look to you today,

To do this thing that must be done,

For it's the only way.

That strength is why I've followed you,

And chose you as my friend,

And why I've loved you all this time...

My partner till the end.

Please, understand just what this gift

You're giving, means to me,

It gives me back the strength I've lost,

And all my dignity.

You take a stand on my behalf,

For that is what friends do.

And know that what you do is right,

For I believe it too.

So one last time, I breathe your scent,

And through your hand I feel,

The courage that's within you,

To now grant me this appeal.

Cut the leash that holds me here,

Dear friend, and let me run,

Once more a strong and steady dog,

My pain and struggle done.

And don't despair my passing,

For I won't be far away,

Forever here, within your heart,

And memory I'll stay.

I'll be there watching over you,

Your ever faithful friend,

And in your memories I'll run,

... a young dog once again.

I know what you are going through. I had to put my Yorkie down on the 12th of July. I stayed with her the whole time and I have never cried so hard. I brought her home before taking her to be cremated, and just rocked her on the porch, crying, trying to build the strength to let go.
It's a hell I don't look forward to going through again.
You have my condolences.

I am deeply sorry for your loss, I know firsthand what you have been through and no words will help ease the great loss you have experienced. Just know that what you had to do was right and that your family and your baby are in our thoughts and prayers.

so sorry

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my beautiful Apryl to lymphoma in May. We tried so hard to save her but when the time came to say goodbye I knew it was the right decision. It is devistating to loose your beautiful baby but for me I got another boxer boy from rescue and he has helped me so much to feel happy again. I tell him every day he is so special because Apryl sent him to me. Please take care of yourself and someday when you feel it in your heart another will ease your pain.
