I recently saw her on the Oprah Show. I was really impressed and I bought her book. Does anyone else use her methods? Has anyone read her book? Thoughts?

I have never heard of her but saw her book at my local book store and thought it sounded pretty nice. Comon sense and stuff that has been stressed on BW for years though...kindness and love to teach train your pet, hmmm! hahaha, I would be interested in any other opinions out there as well.

I have recently finished her book and started to switch over to her methods. I needed something different, because Sorca would just usually ignore me. He seems to be responding amd listening to me more than ever, of course he rarely leaves my side and will come searching for me if I am out of his sight for more than a couple of minutes. Granted, some of this could be that I went to Florida for a week and now he is afraid I might leave him again. Whichever it is, life is a lot easier for all of us now.appicon

my girlfriend taped the oprah show when she was on it and then her mom bought us the book. i have almost finished it and my GF is outside reading it right now. we were already using some of her methods unknowingly but have began using some of the other things she mentions

all in all it is a great book, so many people revert to yelling at their dogs and other unnecessary behaviors, it is only stalling their training. zoey is about 15 weeks old and she LOVES doing stuff for rewards (treats!). i recommend the book
