Tail looks...weird...

I was just wondering about docked tails..I've never had a boxer before, so I don't know if this is normal or not. On the tip of his tail you can see his skin..it's like a dark "nubbin" with no hair growing on it or anything. He is only 10 weeks old, so maybe it still needs healing? Just not sure, any help would be great!!

The dark area is scar tissue, the hair around that will cover it in time. Hanley

Its just where the tail was docked, no worries, Rubys has grown over now, she is 6 months old

Blizzy had the same thing..but the fur at the end of the nubby seemed to grow downward and inward so it covered the "scar" part. If you lifted the fur you could see the part w/no fur. It was a very ticklish for Blizzy.

Carson has the same thing but Echo has no visiable "scar" area on the nubby.

Funny to look at the new babies nubs. Carson's just covers his butt and Echo's is a longer nubby.
