......male part. I am so embarassed to have to post this.

I have never had a male dog so I don't know about it. I took the kids running at the park. We came home and they all ate a chicken leg and thigh. Kayo came over and was smelling Roxy and I noticed his "lipstick" was out. I called him to me, thinking he was excited and now he wouldn't be. well it went almost all the way in but his thing was swollen. It freaked me out. I put him outside thinking he may have to go potty. NOPE. What is wrong with my baby? Does running have an effect in the nether regions?!?! I am SOOO confused, and can't dare tell DH. He would never let me live this down. HELP ME......I know someone here knows what I am talking about.....even if they do get a good laugh.

It seems to have gone down....but please tell me what just happened. I don;t want to freak if it is going to happen often.

Boys will be boys and the world is an exciting place. LOL! It all sounds normal to me I have 2 boys and with one I never see the extras..The other seems to always have something to be excited about and they are both neutered. Sometimes it takes a while for them to calm down and things to go back into place.

So I can see it as a 16 year old kid. They get excited all the time. Thank you so much. I knew someone would understand. He is not fixed yet, he will be in a few weeks) so maybe that will cut it back some??

Does the humping stop soon? Will it stop after he is fixed? The girls are a tad bit tired of it and are begining to let him know!

In my experience, yes, the humping stops after a neuter, although I know other people have had different experiences.

Hey there, my Eric gets excited ALLL the time, im talking when you greet him, when you come home from work in the afternoons, when you give him a treat or jsut playing with him - cant say ive ever seen him humping anyone or thing though, he is usually the receiver. Its usually the pug that deals that out. Though i did hear somewhere that when a dog humps, it is trying to establish dominance. I am unsure of how true that is, but i am sure if it isnt then someone will correct me (i hope)

Seemed to me it wsa not dominence since his lipstick came out...but what do I know?!?!

He was VERY swollen today when we got up and the lipstick was out agian. I feel like a dog preditor the way I am constintaly looking at his privates. Never thought I would have to do all this!!

I am guessing in the morning it is like a human?

My boy has had everything, including this, however, and I foget the name of it-yes it has a name-his would not (twice) go back in... That's right- we had to go to the vet and they did well, whatver, to get it back where it belongs. The second time my vet called him "the dog who loves too much " :)
