Swollen Scrotum

Hi all

Harley is 10 months old and yesterday we noticed his scrotum was quite swollen, tender and red looking, he also seemed to be limping on his back left leg. He is one of our show dogs so has not been "done".

Today he is not limping but he is still very swollen, he does not seem to be in any distress.
2 days ago he was out in the run with one of the younger pups playing rough so we are wondering if he has pulled or strained something.

Any suggestions?

If the swelling doesn't go down, I'd take him to the vets

That happened to Finn a few months ago. He had a yeast infection at the top of his legs which I applied Malaseb shampoo to which unfortunately touched the sensitive skin of his testicles. He licked them constantly overnight and in the morning it looked like a tennis ball was stuck between his legs.

A trip to the vet confirmed it was due to him licking and biting which caused the swelling and to use nappy rash cream on them.

I would definately go to the vet to rule this out and make sure its nothing serious
