Hi, my 8 month old boy (Diesel) was staying at a friends house this weekend while we were on vacation. They have 3 dogs, and I heard they were all playing pretty rough together. He must have been scratched on his lower eye lid, because it is swollen and has lots of puss coming from it. My friend called the vet after it happened and the vet said to put a warm/damp cloth on it. He doesn't seem to be in pain, he's just blinking a lot and there are lots of "goobers" in his eye. I'm surprised the vet didn't tell him to bring him in for some antibiotics... Has anyone else experienced this, and is it critical that I get him to a vet or will nature take its course and he'll be fine? Thanks!
