Swiping back feet

Is this normal behavior? My 12wk old swipes her back feet on the ground or carpet like a bull getting ready to charge! She does it when she wants to get something, usually a person. What's the meaning of this? Also when she is trying to bite my hands and I tell her no, she barks and buts me with her closed mouth instead it's pretty funny. I guess it's better than little razor teeth! One last behavior I don't like is her biting her leash. If I tell her no, she gets very angry and comes after me instead. I don't give up though I keep telling her no until she eventually stops, but she gets pretty nasty about it and it only happens outside. Hopefully help is on its way. She goes to puppy kindergarden in 2wks. I hope the other puppies don't mind playing with her. She is pretty rough with the neighbors dog (miniture poodle) they don't like my boxer playing with her. lol. Otherwise she is pretty smart. Cries to go out to relieve herself. YAAAAAAA! Sits, gives paw, lays down. She lays down before her food dish goes on the floor. And sits right away when she comes in the house until her leash comes off. We're working on stay, which has been difficult. But she does it for a little while.

Just keep correcting her behavior and redirect her whenever possible. I believe the swiping is a sign of unsureness or frustration.Ihave had our dogs do that sometimes.

Kona played rougher/differently with the other pups in puppy class too. Boxers box and alot of other dogs don't like this normal boxer behavior.

Yep Lola does this as did our Collie, we call it 'wheel spinning' It's when big clods of mud come flying through the air and your gardens scalped you start to get really cross :(

lol! My two both do this after they poo as well! Duke gets stiff in the legs sometimes and he does it very slowy- its almost comical! I read somewhere that it is sort of a challenge when they do the kick back.... I am not sure, because sometimes my two do it then they start playing right away.

when they kick their feet back after pooing it is a scent marking, they are scratching their scent into the ground, you know their " frito scented feet " I think that is an oil/musk or whatever that they rub into the ground.

I think sidhewlf hit the nail on the head. STRONGWILLED! Swiping when she poo's is normal but the other times? Hopefully school will help. I think maybe it might be "anxiety". Thank you all for your responses I really appreciate them all.

She's probably just trying to see how far she can get with you. My girl is 8 months now and she is still trying that. She frequently "talks back" to me when I correct her. She will either let out a long, loud sigh or look right at me at bark over and over again. It's maddening, but you have to keep showing her that you're the boss. Now if I could just take my own advice ;)

Good Luck!
