PrancersMom

Boxer Buddy
Prancer stays at the bottom of the lake, then looks up at me like mommy save me. She walked out pretty deep on day at our lake house, over her head, and we thought she would try to doggie paddle, but when the bubbles came out of her nose we picked her up and set her on the dock. Now Prancer does not go past her chest at the lake.

My boy loved to Swim

My Boxer Tazzy loved to swim. He was constantly being dragged out of the pool rain or shine. He would jump in any chance he had. His mother was a swimmer also they both grew up in a home with a pool.

I am developing a theory that the females are the swimmers and the males not so much.

Kodi is my only Boxer that I know can swim...he was taught before I got him. Even though he knows how to swim he prefers to stay where he can touch bottom. :) Ruby's had a swimming lesson or two but hasn't caught on yet....little stink fell off a lay out float in a pool and had to be rescued!

Owen likes the water. He swims like a tug boat, slow but strong and steady  .
I was just so excited to find that he liked water AND could swim fiestaicon !
I'll post swimming pictures soon. We just got them out of the camera (duh, don't take pictures without the memory card:o).

Marley (male) is not a swimmer. He'll go out to his chest, and that's about it. However, my brother also has a male boxer who's an excellent swimmer! He'll swim out to the middle of a pond to fetch a stick with the best of the retrievers! It's fun to watch.

Hehe !

Shelby's first swimming.....well sinking ......was funny, well it wasn't them but it is now :)

We went to the lake w/ our friends & there lab......we were playing fetch w/ them in the water....it went out a little far & Shelby was running to get it.......she was still running when the ground ran out.....she got scared & tried to swim...but Boxer's being top heavy...& her being scared....she sank & her butt was bobbing up & down like a bobber......my husband got her in like TWO seconds .....so she was fine......but I will never forget her butt bobbing up & down.

We have since taught her to swim in our pool.......& she does ok......Our male Wallace who is tall ......can swim...but it is the most pitiful looking thing I have ever seen.......he splashes so much it a miracle there is any water left in the pool, LOL

Rico (male) will go in the water as long as he can touch the ground with his head out of the water. He loves the water though, Ava has only waded so far, but she is still young.
