just wanted to wish Beau luck this morning on his surgery. Gracie and I will be sending along lots of healing vibes! give him a hug for us when you drop him off! he'll do fine, try not to worry too much! 
Surgery tomorrow, Beau has a blockage!

The surgery right now has been postponed since he seems to be passing what ever was causing the blockage. I will get an update on if they will do the surgery or not in the next few hrs and will update you guys after I update my wife.

We called back at 1:30 and they said they hadn't done X-ray yet, and for us to call back at 6:00 to know if they need to do surgery. This is wearing me out! My poor baby. They gave him barium last night, and apparently he has been having "barium" bowel movements today so they are hopeful if that barium can get through maybe he can pass the blockage. Oh, and (as of 1:30) he has been drinking a little water and holding it down.
Again thanks for all your support, and we will report in after 6:00 to let you know what we know.

WE GOT BEAU BACK FROM THE VET!!!!!!!!!!!
The just of it all was that he ate some type of cloth(I'm thinking tennis ball cover) that got stuck in the stomach. After giving him the barium for the xray, the barium kind of served as a lubricant and helped slide the cloth like material through his system. Right now its toward the end of his large intestines. The vet told us we are not completely out of the woods yet but since Beau has been drinking and eating with no issues and having regular movements that we could take him home with us and watch him. The vet is confident that Beau will pass the object out since it made it through the stomach and small intestines. As long as he gets it out of his system in the next day or two there will be no need for surgery.

That is great news!! We are crossing all fingers and paws at out house that your baby passes the object. This is my biggest fear. Let us know how it goes.

I'm so sorry to hear about your baby :( I don't even have mine yet and I starting to get scared! I have my house childproofed but not dogproofed! I think that's what I'll do today. Does to vet know what Beau ate? I guess it doesn't matter...the end result is still the same. Good luck and my thoughts are with you.
