Sunblock poisonous?

Hi all... I have a white boxer pup, and I've got a question about sunblock. We spend a lot of time on the lake during the summer, and I've seen lots of posts about using baby sunblock to avoid sunburn. While searching on the internet for the best one to use, I stumbled across an article on a boxer rescue site that listed toxic items... and sunblock was one of the items listed. Now I'm really confused, because I'm sure she'll try to lick herself at some point... has anyone else heard this, and do you have any advice? Thanks much!

Some sunblocks contain an ingrediant that is toxic to dogs. Most lists of toxic substances, however, won't tell you what ingrediant that is and usually just say 'check with your vet for info on which sunblocks are safe'. If I do manage to find out which ones are non-toxic I will post them.
