Hello everyone,
I would love some suggestions as to what to put down in my dog run. First, let me explain that it is not really a "dog run" it is a fenced off portion of my yard that is around 1000 sf. I just moved into the house and it is pure dirt, and a nightmare to keep my house clean with them bringing in the dirt when they come through the dog door. We live in Las Vegas and would rather not put down grass because it is virtually impossible to keep green, and we have a sever water shortage. Also, when it rains (the few times that it does) I don't want the grass turning to mud. I looked into synthetic grass but was quoted over 6k to do our whole yard. Rather pricey for a dog run. I was told to put down pea gravel and I was hoping some of you had some experience to tell me if that would be ok. I would like it to be maintenance free as possible, and just as long as the dogs can't bring in dirt I am ok with picking up a few rocks that make it into the house. I would love some suggestions as to what to put down or some feedback about pea gravel.
Thanks,
Derek
