nana girl
Boxer Pal
I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue, has suggestions or possible cause. My 4 year old baby girl Savannah suddenly does not want to go for car rides. This has all happened in the last two weeks. Previous to this if you grabbed the car keys or went anywhere near the door she was pushing her way past you to get out the door before you. Other than going to work, I took her almost everywhere because she loved going for "by-by rides" so much. Nothing traumatic happened to her while she was in the car recently to help explain this. No sudden stops, or her getting tossed around in the vehicle. We went for a two and a half hour car ride to visit my son, daughter-in-law & granddaughters about two weeks ago, but this is not extremely uncommon. We go about once a month or so she is familiar with this & we usually stop about half way just to stretch our legs.
Savannah does suffer from pancreatitis but we have it well controlled & she takes Pepcid twice a day before meals to help keep her tummy calm. On this last long car ride she didn't seem anxious or upset so not sure if this was the culprit or not.
Now, if you ask Savannah to go for a "by-by ride" she will walk away from you, lay down or go hide on the couch. If you are able to coax her into the vehicle she starts shaking and is extremely anxious.
Any help or suggestions would be extremely helpful and appreciated. I just want my girl to be ok. Thank you in advance.
