stupid question about bones...

Even if I am not feeding a BARF diet, would it be beneficial if I gave my Dalen a raw bone as a treat? I'm thinking that it couldn't hurt her and there is a butcher near my home that is willing to give me some bones for free (says he would just throw them out at scraps anyway...)

Yes, I would give her one for a treat. I do all the time and if she decides she doesn't want to finish it I wrap it in a ziplock bag and toss it back into the freezer for later. My dogs go through my bags when I get home from the grocery store cuz they know I bring them home once a week or so!

Marrow Bones

I have given my Boxer kids marrow bones for years. They get one each night. It keeps their teeth clean and the marrow is excellent for them.
