We used to tell people we hope Nestle likes the baby cause if not, we can't keep him. I got so good at keeping a straight face that people looked at me like I had 2 heads. Loved it!

Hahahahahahahaha I'm going to remember that with the next skin kid...

BethH and Elyse-I love ya'lls responses! I'll have to remember those esp since my pooch is becoming more obvious! My MIL is one of the worst-she asked me a couple of months ago if we were going to put up a fence before the baby comes. I asked her why, so it won't CRAWL out of the yard in about 9 months? She said "No, to put Boomer outside once the baby gets here." WHAT?! I don't think so!

That was great!!!! I am guilty of letting Nestle licking the heck out of Cole (skin baby) for the first few months of his life. Now, Cole licks Nestle and Porter all the time. The 3 of them have their own world together and it is amazing.

When are you do??

I'm sure it gets old telling people over and over to mind their own business when it comes to your family and your pets. I've always had a very twisted sense of humor. ;)

Elyse-I'm due on Halloween. I go for my find-out-what-you're-having sonogram next Tuesday. But we're still undecided if we want to know.

You must be getting excited and soon enough will start to show. We didn't find out what we were having. There are so few surprises in life. We did neutral pale green in the nursery. Is this your first?

Halloween baby. Very cool.

First, congrats on your baby! She/He will bring much joy.

Secondly, I think that many (non-educated) people look at the Boxer as a violent K9, such as the Pit Bull. I had this with my family when we first got Joe. At that time, my youngest was 1 1/2 and they were really concerned. Over the years, they have come to love him and trust him. IMO, I just think that the people that are making these statements are just plan dumb!!!

I'm due in February and I'm very lucky because our family loves Oscar. He is considered my Mom's first grandbaby.
I would give any person a piece of mind if they told me I should give up Oscar.

Just for the record, pitbulls are great with kids. Unfortunately there have been some horrific incidents involving kids, but there are many many more wonderful pitbulls that live very happily with children, not to mention being therapy dogs, search and rescue dogs and decorated war heros.
It is unfortunate that you would apply the same lack of education to pitbulls that you dislike in people that speak badly of boxers.
