Boxer Pal
Just had a baby...
Our baby girl was born in February and is now 3 months old and our boxer boy is fine with her! Teak (fawn male) is 1 1/2 years old and was definately our first BABY. He goes everywhere with us, goes to work with dad, and has never spent a night alone! So I was a little nervous when baby arrived, but he's been great. He doesn't really pay much attention to her, except the occasional lick of her feet or face. He was more curious then anything when we first brought her home. When she's crying he just gives a big sigh! Boxers have such a wonderful temperment and are truely family dogs. Our Teak loves to play with other kids and we're looking forward to when our daughter gets mobile and they can play together! My husband is anxious to see his baby daughter walking his 80lb boxer! Your boxer will be great, maybe a little sad at first, but they learn to accept them as part of the family and adjust like a another child would. Keep loving your boxer and he will love your baby too!
Got to love those pregnancy hormones too! : ) It will all be fine...
