stuffed animals and dogs

i was curious....brutus LOVES LOVES LOVES stuffed animals. he loves to chew them to death, basically until it is just a ragged animal with filler spread all over the carpet.

now, this brings me to my question how will he react to stuffed animals that my baby will have??? will he try and take them??? seriously, his love for stuffed animals is so bad, last night i let him have an old scooby stuffed animal, at least until he gets the filler out (if we don't catch it before he eats the filler, we usually perform poop ectomies) so anyway i threw scooby away, he sat in front of the trash can for two hours looking at me then the trash can...as if to say mom you put it in there dummy. so any ideas on how to keep away from the babies toys?

My Dogs love the stuffed ones too. I have a really hard time keeping them out of my kids rooms and recently Dozer ate one of their favorites. :( I just keep taking the kid ones away and hoping the doggie ones have their scent on them so they can tell the difference. I have 3 kids and know it will be a battle. BTW just like a baby any that you do give make sure you remove eyes and pieces that the dogs could choke on. Alot of the time I take the stuffing out and just let them have the "skin"

my peanut does take my daughters stuffed animals off her bed and well she takes mine as well from my headboard. I would not trust her to stay away cuz she too is nuts about stuffed animals..

My Dozer used to have "special feelings" for my son's doggie slippers! He stopped after we had him neutered.

Yep, my 3 just love the stuffed toys! They start off as a tug of war toy and inevitably end up spread all over the garden I think you're just going to have to keep them out of reach!

Yup...Sophie loves stuff animals too, and the kids don't make it easy, they think it's cute when she chews on them! We're getting better though, The wife and I try to keep them picked up, but she's starting to understand which are hers and which are not.

Kaz has at least 50 stuffed animals -- although some are just carcases w/no stuffing left in them!
