strange rash on chest/belly

Our 3 yr old girl, Piper, is sick for about a week. She has a rash all over belly and chest, and not much of an appetite. She also has very runny stool. She HAS NOT been scratching. No change in her diet, though she did have a large cooked beef bone about a week ago. Her food is Innova Evolution, all red meat. (she is allergic to chicken).

We were at the vet yesterday. Temperature normal, weight normal. No blockages. She is now on 25mg of predenazone twice a day for a week, and 400mg NOVO CIMETINE twice a day. The redness in her belly goes from looking like it is almost gone, to being BRIGHT red.

The only thing out of the normal is that she was bitten by another dog about 2 weeks ago. I also mentioned this to the vet.

Any thoughts?

Did they do a skin scraping to see if the rash was some sort of skin infection (staph perhaps)?
If not they are treating the "symptoms" and not the cause which is the only way to really clear it up without fear of it returning.
