Our eight month old Max has recently got a strange habit with his paws, mainly the front ones. He can be playing happily one minute and then he starts biting and licking one of his paws. He then usually starts waving it around and yapping at it. We naturally assumed the first time it was an injury, but as soon as he is distracted by something else (toy, treat, etc.) he forgets all about it and carries on as normal.
When he is not having one of his "sessions" with it, he runs around and jumps on it as normal and has no signs of a limp. We have examined it closely and there are no lumps, bumps, cuts or any other signs of damage. It's also not tender and he is quite happy for it to be handled. Nobody can think of a reason for it at all and it's completely baffled us. The vet also cannot find anything wrong.
We are not too worried as he's perfectly happy for the rest of the time and his "sessions" only last a couple of minutes at the most.
Has anyone else had any experience of anything simular?
