Okay I sent this once but clicked something and I don't think it came out so here goes again. Last night my husband and daughter and I went to car races and were gone for about 5 hours. We left our dogs Cleo the bullmastiff and Pearl outside -- it was pretty warm and they have two doggie igloos with blankets etc. Of course pearl always stays in cleo's house with her even though she has her own. Well we got home around 11pm and I go to let the dogs in. Cleo comes in wags her tail and lays down. Pearl on the other hand is literally bouncing off the walls, she runs down the hall, comes back jumps up to my head, runs into the living room in a cirlce, comes back jumps up to my head -- you get the picture. This goes on for quite some time wagging her tail the whole time. So then she finally slows down enough to be pet. You think we had left for a month. Do most boxers do this?? It was so so funny. She just cracks me up. This icon truly reminds me of pearl -- what a personality.

My dogs act just as happy to see me whether it's a short trip to the mailbox, or I'm gone an hour for errands. I have always heard that dogs have no sense of time. Its just always nice to see them so happy when we come home. I hope they know that we miss them just as much as they miss us.

That is SO typical for a boxer! I love the way they can't contain their excitement to see you! It's especially fun when you have two or three boxers all acting this way when you come in the house!

Bailey alos acts this way . I could walk out to the mail box and come back in, and it's like I have been gone forever. Boxer need people. They like to be around their family all of the time.

Spanky does his lil wiggle butt dance all the time. It cracks me up everytime i come home. And when his daddy comes home...everyone better clear the way...because my he likes Spanky to jump up on him.......thank goodness he is the only one Spanky actually does that to.

I could be really down and all I have to do is look at Pearl's face and I crack up -they're way better than any therapist.
