I am a bit worried about Rino our 8 month old puppy. He is a very energetic and active boxer but lately he has been having problems with his stomach. This started a couple of days ago. He is doing diarrhea, yellowish in colour, not everyday, but frequently. We feed him the same brand of food, dry food (Royal Canine for maxi dogs). Also when we are on the couch with him he releases odours which are not the usual. AM soory if the subject is a bit disgusting but I am a bit worried especially since I fell taking him to the vet wont help that much since as I said he is very energetic and active.

Thank you for your help

Anytime you have a concern and a dog is having problems for a period of time you ShOULD take him to the vet. To assume it won't be any help because he is still active does not mean you shouldn't go. The vet more then likely will find the cause. So for your pup's sake get him to the vet this week, better safe then sorry right? GL

Might want to bring a stool sample in for starters and see if that shows anything. Something is causing this so that is where I would start. Good luck

Definitely bring a stool sample. Leila has this problem when she has a GI tract bacterial infection. Meds will treat it, but I would let a vet determine if that is the problem.

I definitely agree with everyone about going to the vet. I do know that with my puppy, she started getting runny stools and I switched her to a better food (canidae) and her stools were perfect overnight. Have a look at the nutrition forum as well as the food analysis/rating page. Just a thought! Good Luck, and hope your pup gets better.
