I've been a little depressed today. It started out great-I had a dream about Rock that seemed so real. Nothing special, just him chasing a ball that my DH was throwing. The dream seemed to last a long time. I've thought about it and him all day. Tomorrow it will be six months since he went to the bridge. We all still miss him so much, want him back, talk about him everyday and think about him constantly and sometimes shed a few tears. I can't believe it's been six months, Sammy has become soooo spoiled and Duke has grown into a huge fellow that acts more like Rock everyday. I hate having to live with this huge hole in my heart that seems to never heal. Happy Easter Rock! Don't worry, mom and dad will be okay, Sammy and Duke keep us on our toes most of the time. Missing you. Love always,
Mom, Dad, Sammy and Duke

Your post makes me shed a few tears too! know how you feel - I still have dreams about my old labs. Dreamed about them playing with Grumpy & her buddies the other night. I know Grumpy is super spoiled because I realize how short a dogs time here can be - and now that they're gone, I wish I had Brandy & Blacka back to spoil more. It's good that you all talk about your Rock - he will always be part of your family even now that he's not in this world.

Rock sounds like a wonderful boy - run free sweet angel!

I hope he is playing at the bridge with my babies.

Tears here reading your post - I dream about our first boxer boy too sometimes - usually he's got away from me and is running along the road and I can't catch him...........it's horrible and brings such sad memories back when our brains play tricks on us like that.

He will always be part of your family, time heals all wounds so thay say but why does it take so long...........

Just wanted you to know I understand and that first year is the WORST :( I was so sad so much of that first year and would have those dreams where I could not find my girl, she was lost, etc. I think the dreams reflected how sad I was because now the dreams are more comforting -we are walking, playing, etc. so I guess I have a little more peace in my mind though I still think of Ailis everyday and miss her sweet face-take care of your self

I understand how you feel so much.
We lost Morrissey a year ago on the 6th and we miss him so much. I had one dream of him a few days after he died, then on the 6th, a year exactly, I had another one, I saw my granddad walking towards me with Morrissey at his side, my grandad was younger, around 40 years old and Morrissey looked younger too, no Grey, I saw my hands reach out to him and I kissed him and could feel his fur, it happened very quickly but I keep thinking about it so much, it's as though my grandad brought him to me to show me he was with him and he's okay, especially as it approached the one year of his death and I had been crying more, I suppose some people will think me crazy but it truly happened. I do feel some comfort in that dream.
Be sure Rock is okay and is looking after you, take care, Kate.

I sooo feel for you right now! I always have dreams, still, about Dolly (my childhood boxer)! She was my pride and joy (because she was my own pet from the age of 6). I had her for 12 years; and still dream and think about her all the time! It still makes it so tough!!!! But soon, those memories will be comforting! I feel this way because I know that I will truly Never forget her!!!!!!! or lose her! ;)

My mother lived with us the last 4 yrs of her life. We bought Abby for her because she used to raise and show boxers when I was a small girl. When I lost my mom in 1999 it was so hard but I still felt like I still had a part of her in Abby. When I lost Abby in 2001 it was like losing my mother all over again. I guess what keeps me going is knowing that my mom and Abby are together again. I dream about them every once in awhile. I know one day I will see them again. My Atlas is 6 yrs old now and I worry alot because he is getting older and I lost Abby at 8 1/2 yrs old....Hugs Linda

My DH and I were talking just today about how much we miss Rock. I think I'm missing him more now than I ever did. Most people don't understand, but here at BW I know others feel the same way. Thanks for listening.
