I've not been around for a while, so I'm a little out of touch; but we are still VERY interested in, and actively looking for a boxer. Puppys are still the preference, for obvious reasons, but we would still be open to adopting an older dog. If anyone has any info about boxers for adoption, please let us know...thanks

Still Looking......

Hello everyone. We are still looking to add a new addition to our family. We are looking for a boxer puppy. Our preferance is a fawn male. We are hoping to find this new additiona by this Spring.

It has been almost a year since the loss of our boy Buck, and we feel that it is time to get a new buddy. If anyone knows of some good breeders here in the Spokane area we would appreciate the help. So far the only place we have been looking is in the paper.

Thanks in advance for the help.

The best place to start searching for a responsible breeder is your local boxer club. They would be able to point you toward those breeders who do appropriate health screening and may have a litter coming up. Newspapers and petstores are generally the domain of backyard breeders and puppy mills...

There is a list of breeders who health test at www.boxerworld.com/breeders (along with an explanation of the health tests that should be undertaken). That list is not exhaustive though - so if there is no-one suitable there, then your boxer club is the best place to start.

Sorry, but we don't allow solicitations or the promotion of breeders (other than those listed) on this site.

If you're interested in adopting, you should contact a local boxer rescue organisation.

11 week old Fawn Male

On boxertown.com there is an 11 week old fawn male.... he would probably be free to a good home. It says that he does have some health issues (he gets unbalanced) that they can not afford to treat. If he does not find a home soon I would guess they will have ot give him to animal control. That would not be good for him.

If you are interested he is about halfway down the page on www.boxertown.com . I think he is here in GA, but since the weather has been so mild he could easily fly from atlanta to Seattle. I would be happy to help get him to the airport for you if you needed it!

Thank you

Thank you for all of the help. Any addition would be nice, though we would prefer to get a puppy.

Our last boxer (Buck) was a rescue, and he was wonderful, but he had some issues (he was severly abused by previous owners.) We had Buck for about 2 years and after getting in a fight with our neighbor's dog he turned on my husband Ryan. Ryan had to get 18 stiches in his right arm. Our neighbors called animal contral and Buck was labeled as a vicious dog and was put down. Losing our buddy hurt more than the bite wounds (that is what Ryan says.)

It has been about a year since we lost Buck. We now feel that we are ready for a new addition. We are hoping for a little one this spring.

Thanks in advance for all the help.

Take care,

Heather and Ryan
