Started to pee on carpet.

I figured i'd throw this one out to you guys to see if anyone can relate or give me advice to why this may be happening. Our 3 year old female boxer Ally always sleeps outside of our bedroom with the door closed every night in her little bed. The last 3 nights she has gone pee on the stairs each night. She is fully housetrained and never really did this before.

We are currently selling our house so i'm sure there are lots of scents of other people as we have had quite a few showings so I thought this could have somethign to do with it. We also have recently put things on our sofa's in the living room so she can't sleep on them at night time aswell. Although we started doing that a few weeks ago.

If anyone has any advice that'd be great. Thanks!!

You could check w/ the vet to make sure she doesn't have UTI.

Definitely have the vet check the dog for UTI.

I haven't gone to the vet but I don't think it's UTI. We are gone from the house during the day for 9 hours a day and she never does anything. She didn't pee on the carpet the last three nights because we left our bedroom door open just a little. Last night we closed it completely and she pee'd again. Could she be spiteing us or upset that we put her out there? I'm not sure if dogs are capable of that?

Let her in your bedroom. Boxers like to be with their people. You could also put a baby gate in the doorway. That way she could be nearby and could see you and smell you.
