What could these spots be? The first time we noticed it was around her side rib area but the vet said it could be from her allergy problem because she scratches there. This past weekend i noticed more coming around the body.
We are going to the Vet tomorrow for a follow up on her infected nipple (blood coming out of nipple).. She's been on Clavamox the past week.
Here are the pictures:

It looks likes mites to me. Our boxer had them a few months ago. He had to be on 2 rounds of antibiotics before they went away. Our vet just scraped an area, and new right away. Once they were gone, it takes awhile for the hair to grow back. Good luck!

It looks like either mites or a skin infection. Roxie had a skin infection and had spots all over that were missing hair. She was on an antifungal medication for six weeks but she has been good since. Hope everything turns out ok.

Does she play with other dogs? My pups sometimes get spots like that from playing with each other and getting a little too rough. I guess they either rip hair out with their teeth biting each other or their toenails, it is hard to tell with these two nuts.

I hope it turns out to be nothing.

Well the vet did a skin scraping and found some dead mites (demod). He did the scraping on one of the first spots to appear. He said the odd thing about this situation is that our dog is 2 years old and normally this problem is for puppies. HE says our baby possibly has a weak immune system.
He didnt prescribe any medicine and said to wait and see if the problem dies down. What do you guys think? Should I have insisted on some medicine ( if so, why kind?)
Is there anything I can do to boost her immune system? (ie. vitamins, supplements, etc?)

thanks!!!

I agree. I think a healthy, well-balanced diet is key. Our girl was born with a weak immune system and came down with everything when she was a pup. She is now three and doing great. I recommend a good kibble/wet food, fresh food, as well as supplements from Timberwolf Organics (our homeopathic vet said it was the best she'd ever seen), Nupro, The Wholistic Pet or Missing Link. Good luck and keep us posted.
