Hello everyone,
Last night i went to bed a bit dizzy and really feeling under the weather. At some point in deep sleep, i was experiencing a nightmare where i was supposed to have gone away and left Martin without food or water... in my dream, i saw myself coming back and realising that the dog was left alone without food and water and panicking, crying and scremaing. Then i see myself at the door, with Martin lying there, happy to see me but too weak to stand up, trying to lick my hand and collapsing. I see myself carrying him in my lap screaming for a vet, and at the same time my mouth feels very very dry and a very intense feeling of thirst comes over me. It was like hell! It was the worst nightmare i've seen in my life !!!! The blame and guilt i felt, the pain that martin experienced, seeing him weak and ill made me cry.
And then i wake up, i open my eyes, and the first thing i notice is that although the feeling of thirst is still vivid, i am not thirsty at all neither is my mouth dry. I stand up and go looking for Martin, whom i find whining at the balcony door which i had shut forgetting that his water bowl was out there. So the poor guy was thirst and was pawing at the door to get it open but i was too dozed off to hear him.
When i opened the door and filled his bowl with cold water he drank and drank and drank, and then came back wiggled his but a bit gave me a couple of kisses and snuggled up beside me. Do you think its possible that the nightmare i had was somehow connected to Martin being thirsty? It was quite a weird dream... and although i could taste the dryness in my mouth during the dream, when i woke up i wasn't thirsty at all.
Maybe my baby is a telepath ;-)
