Hi Everyone

We got Bart's results from the Vet School today. Having looked at all his x-rays, test results & notes they have concluded that the Spondylosis, whilst severe looks 'settled' & long standing & should not be causing the problems that Bart currently has. Interestingly they have also said that LOTS of Boxers suffer from Spondylosis! That's news to me ~ our family & friends have always had Boxers & we've never come accross it before ~ but then most of our fur babies have never had cause to be x-rayed.

The next step is another urine analysis, possibly more blood tests & if nothing comes up then he will have an MRI scan at the Vet School.

In the meantime Bart is still the same: lethargic, disinterested in his food, exercise intolerant and having accidents in the house. At least I'm getting lots of snuggles but I just want to get to the bottom of everything so we can get on with helping Bart to get well again.

Will be back in touch when I have more news, in the meantime big slobbery kisses from Bart to his cousins.

Hi Everyone

I know we all meant to stay in touch but I have some very sad news. I lost Bart on Monday! The Spondylosis turned out to be the least of his worries, after everything Bart had a brain tumour & there was nothing to be done in the end except that final kindness that we all, as boxer parents, have a responsibility for when the time comes.

I miss him so very, very much. He was such a good boy; perhaps too good for this world and at 3 years far too young.

I'd like to know how you are all doing & send big hugs to each & every one of the furbabies.

Take care all & enjoy your babies every day.

I am SO sorry about what you have been through.
When I first took Cooper to the vet that was the first thing they checked for was any kind of cancer or tumors that might be present.

Cooper had his mylegram 2 weeks ago and much to my suprise he has NO buldging or herniated disc that are causing his problems. However, he does have a HUGE bony mass of spondolosys on the top of his spine that is putting some pressure of his spinal canal which could be the cause of all of his problems and I can have the surgery to remove all the bony mass to see if that will rid him of his problems. The Dr said it was one of the worst cases of spondolosys he has ever seen as he is completly bridged. He has been doing very well on a very low dose of steriods so I am weighing the surgery option rite now.

I am just SO very sorry that you lost your best friend and you are in my prayers.

I know that for as hard as it was for you Bart is pain free and running at the bridge.

Best of luck sweetie.
