Split daily feeding in half?

I feed Mona Canidae and she loves it. I have been feeding her twice daily, about a cup and a half at each feeding. She always seems ready to scarf it all up when I feed her so I assume she is hungry. The serving size per day for this food is 2 cups. My question is the following: Is it better to feed her the two cups at the same time, just once per day, or is it ok to split them up and feed her one cup in the morning and one cup in the evening? Maybe it doesn't make a difference but I just thought I'd see what other people are doing. Thanks!

It is better to feed two meals per day than one Even three, in some cases. So whatever amount you feed, it's best to split is amongst two meals than to reduce to one.

Two major reasons for that are that many boxers have digestion troubles if their stomachs are empty for too long, and they end up vomiting bile. And second, large meals are a bloat risk factor.

Thank you for your very helpful response. I'm glad I have been feeding her properly all this time rather than the other way around. I will just keep on doing what I am doing then. I figured it was ok to feed her twice per day because it seems to be working fine for her. She did lose two pounds when I switched her from Natural Balance to Candidae. Since candidae is a more nutrient rich food I thought she would gain weight if anything, but the vet said her current weight is a healthy one for her so I'm not going to do anything differently. Thanks again!

Canidae is great isn't it? I feed Brutus 2 times a day, sometimes three on the weekends. I could'nt imagine feeding him once a day! He would hate me!
