I really like the spiked collars too. I think Sam would look really cool in one, and I am going to go get him one today. Right now he has on a choke chain, but it's for looks only (and to hold his rabies tag).

The Harley Davidson collars at PetsMart are really nice though expensive.

We are getting one of the leather HD studded collars for Harley when he turns 1... so in Dec. They are a little expensive, but for a 1st. b-day for my baby boy... well worth it!

I Love the look too, and who cares what anyone thinks... studded/spiked collar or not, there will always be ingnorant dummies who wont like your baby regardless of collar.

Vegas has a collar with a skull and X bones on it since he was a pup, I bought him the big version when he grew! I think ppl are gonna be wary of him regardless-*whatever*, but last week I bought him a bright blue collar with giant red hearts on it.....Strangely enough we've met more dogs walking around our condo complex since he's been wearing it....the other dog owners even approach us now.....coincedence?hahaha...I don't really care..I just want Vegas to have diffrent collars for his(or my-heehee) diffrent moods!

We know a young boxer w/a spiked collar and he looks absolutely adorable in it! He looks very rocker chic, not at all scary. He looks like he'd belong to someone like Lenny Kravitz--cool and slouchy.

A heads up on spked collars.......1 thing you need to remember if your dog wears a spiked collar. You need to remove it before they play, since alot of dogs could get hurt if they play rough and bite at the neck. I was at the dog park one day and a fellow with a pit puppy had one of these on and another dog hurt it's mouth while playing. The owner was mortafied and apolagised as he had not realised that the collar could hurt another dog. The collars were originaly designed to prevent other dogs from biteng the neck during pit style fights, they are also used on many gaurd dogs to prevent any one from grabing the dogs collar and restraining them.

I think they look fine, I just think my little Miss Priss would look hysterical in a spiked collar!

My Oscar has a spiked collar and is a very dark brindle w/black mask. The spiked collar doesn't seem to stop people from approaching him. Even little kids will come and pet him. I like it because he doesn't bark so atleast he looks menacing to people who wouldn't know better.

Spike collar look great but unfortunately a lot of people are scared/intimidated with boxer... As a matter of fact just this weekend i learned first hand how some people are uneducated about boxer... I was at a small petstore last Saturday with Nitro and a lot of people were praising Nitro and even one of the employee made a comment that he's the cutest puppy she seen all day... Anyway to make the story short i was checking out some toys for Nitro when this guy came in the same aisle and then told me to get Nitro out of that aisle before Nitro attacked him... So i smiled ang told the guy he's only a puppy and the only thing he'll do is play with him just like what he did with other people in the store... The guys started raising his voice and telling me to get Nitro out... I was getting mad but still managed to hold my temper and told the guy to just wait until i get what i need to get in that aisle... All this time Nitro was just looking wondering what's going on i guess lol... But then the guy made a big mistake, he tried to hit Nitro but missed, hehehhe Nitro' s to qiuck and smart for that shit anyway lol... That when i drop the leash (just like hockey players dropping the gloves lol) started yelling and cursing at the guy and telling him if he wants to go at it then we can go right now... The guy just frozed maybe because he was so surprised how far i will go for my puppy or maybe he got paralyzed with all my spit in his face because i was only 1 - 2 inches away from his face lol... While all this thing is happening Nitro was just sitting calmly and playng with this new toy he found on that ailse...

My pup has a spiked collar and I have noticed that people treat him different since he has gotten it. They don't want to pet him or let their dogs play with him(unless they have a boxer). I think it is stupid, that people would judge how my dog acts just by his collar...he is the sweetest pup there is!!! But it does happen, I have noticed the difference, but it is not like I am going to change it just because other people are scared!!!

P.s. I can't believe it, poor Nitro, I would have chin checked the guy for trying to hit my dog... :)

Roxy has a spiked collar and I love how she looks in it....however I hate the way it feels jabbing my hand when she get a little excited (okay...shes ALWAYS a little excited) So, I just put on the spikes when I want to take pictures of her or we are going somewhere she can just show off. I just bought a pink Coach dog collar on ebay for $45 and I'm actually considering drilling small spikes into it. I must be nuts :)
