I am so sorry for your loss. It is the hardest thing I have had to do. To make that decision was the best thing you could have done for him. It will get easier with time.

Cody also had that blank stare. It was like, "lights are on, but nobody's home." It was so hard because I could still touch and love on him even though he probably didn't know it was me. Looking back I know I made the best decision for him, it would have been selfish of me not to.

Just know that he is running with all our other boxers free and out of pain.

I am so sorry for your loss.........What a wonderful thing you did by giving him a wonderful home, I'm sure it was heaven on earth to him......It's been 15 months since I lost my boy, he was eight, we had to put him down. I am so very sorry and wish things could have been different for your Spike. I, too, wish I had found BW earlier. I found Boxer World 3 days after I lost Magic. I sat at the computer for over an hour and cried while I typed her story. It help me so much to share her story. I wanted others to read about how much I loved her. I love what you wrote about Spike...what a beautiful tribute. I am very glad that you are sharing Spike's story with us on BW as we truly understand the pain of loosing a wonderful little friend....they truly are gifts from God. It is so good that you have pictures of Spike during his younger days to help you. I took many pictures while Magic was sick. Whenever I have doubts, about helping her to the bridge, I look at her pictures. I feel that recovery from a loss takes a long time...my thoughts are with you. I am so sorry.

I am so very sorry for your loss of Spike. We knnow how very hard it is, and only time will make the pain ease a bit. Its hard to imagine but its true. I know that Spike is at the bridge now, with our Peanut and others, and that they only know love health and happiness.
