Speaking of vacuums…

As we all know, vacuums are the arch nemesis of dogs everywhere. But my question to you all is:

Which vacuum does a good job of getting up boxer hair from the carpet?

Sure I could go to consumer reports website and see what they rate as a good vacuum, but I’m sure they don’t do any tests involving boxer hair!

Anyone have any good recommendations as to what brand they found works well? Bag or bag less? Do you find it worth while to get one with a heap-filter or does the hair just clog it up and reduce over all performance quicker?

I have a hoover windtunnel "canister" and it works great, I've always wanted to try the dyson I heard it was very good...it will be next

I have a dyson "animal" - not only is it the coolest purple color but it works extremely well!!- I am shocked at how much hair I can pull out of the carpet (I try to vacuum twice a week). The Dyson is kind of pricey but I thought it was soooo worth it. I would def. recommend it

I know they are not cheap, but my Kirby is the coolest appliance ever! I have NEVER used a vacuum that works so well. When friends come over they ask "why is there no dog hair on your floor or couch?" Then I show them my vacuum..

Speaking of not cheap, we have a Rainbow, and that sucker picks up things that you didn't even know you had in there!!! Cassius likes me to use the vacuum directly on him?? I guess that's one way to keep the sheddig down!
Plus it uses water as the filter, so you get to see proof of how gross your carpet was :eek:

I have to agree. But then my dil owns a Rainbow sales office...LOL

The Dyson...to me its fantastic, with 3 cats and Rubes, I wouldn't have anything else...one gripe is that the hose splits too easily!

my thoughts exactly..thats what I have and it works great!..but then again Im a vac-a holic..hehehe..I have to to keep up with the boxer hairs & siamese cat fluff that gets on everything!...I havent had an issue with the hose yet..mine is still new..Im sure I will wear it out tho....

I have a Kirby that I would love to replace with a Dyson Animal. I've heard nothing buy good things about it.
