Thank you for the info everyone! I now have clearly decided to get my baby spayed BEFORE her first heat. Thank you also for the info about ACE and other anesthetics....I would have never known any better.

My vet said that the younger (6 months) the puppy is the better they recover from the surgery. She recomended six months was a good age. I don't think that there are any reasons to spay when older.
