Something very wrong with my dogs eyes (need help)

my male's eyes are really bloodshot, the area around the eyes seems swollen, the bottom eye lid is drooping (never has before), he doesn't want to open his eyes all they way and the second eyelid stays half way closed.

I took him to the vet this morning and they gave him bacitracin ointment but it hasn't helped. Anybody have any idea what could be wrong? His stool sample came back ok, could it be his allergies?

Could it be a corneal ulcer?Waldo had one earlier this year,and his eye was a bit puffy,he wanted to rub at it a lot.

Might also want to look into Horners Synrome. My vet sent me away wth eye cream too but I knew that was not it. Does he have a discharge at all? If it is Horners it is a benign condition and sometimes goes away on its own. Good luck

it just happened this morning, it went from nothing to full on trouble, so I dunno

he has calcium deposits on his cornea but the vet said it wasn't an ulcer

And it just presents all of a sudden... In many cases it is ideopathic so it may be worth looking into to. Good luck

Jack's eyes reacted the same way when he had his corneal ulcer, it was like the second eyelid didn't want to open because it was protecting the eye.

Possibly entropia - eyelashes growing on the inside of lid and rubbing on his eyes.
