Some advice please???

Hi,
My 12.5 week old Boxer (Ellie) has been showing some signs of aggression since we took her home at 8 weeks. She is normally very friendly and loving for the most part, but every once in a while I will go to pick her up and she will growl and sometimes snap. She also will occassionally do this if I say "No" to her. I am trying to show her who is boss by feeding her last and making her walk in and out of door ways and up and down stairs behind me an by not giving her anything for "free." I am not sure if this is something I should be worried about at this point or if this is normal behavior for the dominant puppy in the litter. My vet suggested to continue what we were doing as long as she gets better rather than worse. She loves people and loves to snuggle and she is not food or toy aggressive at all.
We also have a very shy 8 month old named Jake. Is is the exact opposite of Ellie. He barks and growls if strangers walk by the house, but would never be aggressive. He still likes to play bite every now and then but only for fun.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

Thank you. That made me feel better about the situation. I guess just keep up our positive reinforcement and hope for the best.
