I just cant imagine how anyone thinks they are ugly or mean. They are the cutest things in the whole world from their noses to their tails! I am totally in love with them. People are entitled to their opinions, though!

That was my first thought! The boxer temperment is one of total facination and craving of the attention of children. I am SURE that boxer was chasing her to play! Mine perk up more for children than anything else.

I can honestly say I have never experienced any such negativity like this. But then again I do live a very sheltered life and dont venture very far!
But however, the experiences I have had concerning Boxers and Buster have all been very positive. Everyone around here loves them!

When we first got Oskar at 8 weeks people loved him. He was so cute with his old man face and big clumsy paws. We kept telling him enjoy now baby cuz in a few months no one will come near you! I have converted a few friends but I ageee let's keep it to ourselves and keep these beautiful, loveable, clowns to ourselves!

It's funny you say that because Tonka is so cute people can't stay away from him. He often makes a great face and seems to be annoyed if a new person actually has the Gaul to walk by him with out petting him. I also keep telling my fiancée that no one will go near him when he is full grown and looks like his 80 pound dad with a 20 pound head… which will break his big heart

PS.. After reading all the responses to my original post I am willing to go underground with this revolution. Anyone have any ideas for a secret handshake?

I totally agree with you Tonka's Pop! People that do not own a boxer have no clue. I remember when I was thinking about getting a boxer and the comments I got from people. Oh, a Boxer, they drool constantly, etc. etc. I am so glad I never listened to those horrible comments. I agree people don't know what they are missing. I love a boxer's energy, I know I will never have another breed. I probably would be bored with another breed.:D

I bet that boxer chased those kids for a reason!! I bet they used to tease and taunt that boxer when he/she was a pup! I bet those kids were horrible and never behaved and that was God getting them back for being little monsters!!! Thats what I think!

No one that has never bothered to get to know boxers deserves to know about the wonderful balls of energy and love that they are and how much laughter and happiness that they bring. I like to think of it as my little secret between my boyfriend, my little man, BW and me!! :cool:
