We are in the midst of potty training Lucy (she is now five months old). She has made it through the past couple of nights without any accidents...and if I don't get up early enough in the morning to let her out she barks to let me know she needs to go outside. Do you think she's on her way to being house broken?

Well if she's barking to get you up when she needs to go in the mornings, it certainly sounds as though she's getting there :) You just need to make absolutely sure that you come a-running to let her out straight away when she calls, she's still at an age that mixed signals will confuse.

Painful as it may be, it would still be better if you were up early enough that she didn't need to bark - as it is, there's a chance of her learning that barking in itself gets her attention...
