Just read the thread... I hope everything turns out right for your pup. I don't no the specifics on your past boxers but it seems like you haven't had the best of luck.

Its a nice that you got a fence up, but i would explain to the neighbors why you did it. First off to try an educate them on PRAVO and also so they don't take it offensively, just so there is not tention.

thank you! no we definitely have not had any luck lately unfortunately.

i understand what you're saying but...
my neighbors on that side (we live in a row) are absolute garbage- it's basically a "gang" house. in the 8 years i've been there- they are the worst neighbors we've had (many have moved in and out over the years).
there are so many people in and out of the house that i don't even know who lives there anymore. it's basically run by a bunch of teenagers and young adults and their "gang" friends. "mom" is never present. "mom" i haven't seen in ages and when i do, i plan on giving her a piece of my mind. i highly doubt they care about the fence and if they do i don't really care. i only care about thora's safety right now. i'll address the fence issue later if need be. pretty sure i'm safe with permits because it's only a 6 foot fence- i think 7 or 8 foot is the max in my city.

thank god we're buying a house soon and getting the heck out of there. just doing what we can to get by and keep my sanity right now.

If they dont seem to care about the fence then by all means dont say anything and continue ignoring them. But if i was them and didn't know better i'd be offended by your actions.

But honestly, after Tuff in December, the last thing you want to feel is panic with your new baby. We are all thinking of you and we will all be waiting to hear from you about an update on Thora.

no i understand completely. you're not starting conflicts when i see them, i'm going to address it. i've been hoping to see the guy who owns the puppy so i can ask him when she contracted the parvo and how long it's been since starting treatment. i haven't seen a soul over there since that night of the exposure and i'm not in a hurry to knock on the door and ask. i'm sure if i did i wouldn't get any answers anyways. as i described, there doesn't seem to be a responsible adult anywhere at that house. it's been a "problem house" since they live there.

update

Just got off the phone with the vet. Her xray was normal and her blood work also looks normal. She's well hydrated now and they just gave her a bland meal, which she scarfed down, so her appetite is good. They're going to watch her for the next hour or so to make sure she keeps her meal down, and then hopefully we can go pick her up! The vet said she's not even acting remotely sick right now, and if she was throwing up because of Parvo, it's likely she would be in worse shape right now. She said we're definitely not out of the woods and need to continue to watch her for vomiting and diarrhea, but right now she sees no reason to keep her overnight- if they did, they would remove the iv because she's so active and would probably pull it out. Still no leads as to what caused the vomiting, but for now, she *hopefully* is ok
