So excited!

You will know that I've just lost my darling soul mate Millie..Our life and house is empty without her..For the last ten days We've just existed, not lived..Life has become so empty, no Boxer demanding attention and needing us as her family..First time in over 26 years of loving and owning this breed and knowing what an empty home means..I hope you all understand, we are not replacing Millie, we never could, but are continuing the legacy of her love, and our dedication to this wonderful breed....

I've just applied to a Boxer rescue site in this country to adopt an older Boxer, I cant ever replace Millie, and nor would want to..But I feel it's the direction she's leading me in.Its her legacy, she knows she had a lifetime of love, and how much she gave us, she was our life, our love and our joy...It's wasted now, she's not here...Lots of people wanting the younger babies, but all those poor old grey ones..I have love in my heart, and intend to spend it as Millie would have wanted...I feel happy for the first time in weeks, and hope the adoption people will approve us as good parents..OMG I'm so excited, maybe a Boxer to love again wish us luck!!

And I am so excited for you !!!! I am sure there is a a fab older Boxer out there longing to be saved and loved and in return will bring such joy to you and your husband.

Weekend now, wait for emails to be read, things to be considered..Are we good Boxer parents? can they entrust one to us?, Is the one we applied for rehomed?..A long wait till they answer us, but it's the beginning of a long road, maybe not this old girl, but another that captures our heart will turn up..Millie would be laughing those white socks off, she knows how impatient we are, and how much we need to give all the love we had for her....and SHE has sent us down this path!

Lack of patience is my major failing so I feel your pain. so just keep my Mums saying in the back of your mind because if this one doesnt work out it just wasnt ment to be, and if it does work out you will be very lucky to have found her and her to have found you.

I've been looking into adopting a senior myself, and it's awful how many there are available! It has been a bit nerve racking waiting on responses and setting things up, but I know it will be worth it in the end. I'm sure Millie will have a hand in guiding you to the right boxer.
