Snuggling??

Just a quick question....

Does anyone else's boxer like to be cuddled and snuggled?? Maggie, when ready for a nap in the afternoon, will come to me to pick her up. I do, OF COURSE, and she wiggles up to where her head is on my shoulder and she lets out a sigh and then goes to sleep... Today she napped like that for an hour and a half! It doesn't bother me a bit... I napped with her! LOL But I just didn't know if this kind of snuggling is "normal."

Yep totally normal! And sweet! lovicon I'd think something was wrong if Dozer didn't have half his body draped across me! My Diesel is not a snuggler he likes to sleep in peace but he will put his head on us to rest, by our feet

Yup sure sounds like a normal boxer to me They do that till their weight on you isn't so cuddly anymore and you have to push them down. Buddy cannot lay anywhere where he cannot lay his head, paw, or anyother part of his body on or against one of us. Thats part of the charm. Very warm in the winter If you haven't already check out the "boxer traits" thread here in BW, you'll be amazed as time goes on how much these boxers are so much alike. genetics, its a love hate relationship

yup--one of the favorite boxer traits in my book! They seem to crave that constant contact with you! Even now that is is getting warmer here, Gracie still likes to cuddle at night when we are sleeping. She has to be touching when we first fall asleep and then will work her way down to the bottom of the bed where it is cooler for her (making sure she can still touch me, head on my legs/feet)...but about 2 AM she comes back up and smashes herself into me and insists on "spooning" until morning! I have to throw my arm around her or she is not at all happy and will push/smash herself into me harder until I do!

I'm glad Maggie is being "normal"! Haven't talked my husband into letting her into bed with us... but when he's on the road I do sneak her in when she gets up in the wee hours of the morning... Sshhhhh... don't tell him!!
