Snow addict

Hello all....my name is Dan and my dog has a snow problem!

She's addicted to snow. It snowed a couple of inches here and I'm not sure if Sapphire has seen snow before. At first she didn't want to go out, but now that she has seen that she can eat it.....OMG. She rings the damn bell hanging on the sliding glass door all the time. You would think that there is an alarm on the door the way it goes off now! I ordered her some muttluks yesterday, they're coming from WI. so should be here quicker than stated. She atleast has here coat that we bought her.......she loves the snow!!!! She allso loves to come in and warm up by the fireplace! Anyone elses boxers love the snow?

Roxy is the same way....when she see's snow its like she just drank about 10 cups of coffee !!!! Got to love them !!!!!

Cami loves the snow also. She can't figure out what happens to the snowballs when I throw them for her. It's really funny to see her face completly covered with a snow mustache.

Keno just experienced his first snow last night...he was really unsure about it at first, but before we knew it he was playing in it and eating it like it was the yummiest thing he's ever had... LOL !! He was in and out all evening..you could tell he wanted to be out playing in it but yet he was cold...so he just kept coming in, warming up and going right back out I think it must be a boxer thing (enjoying the snow) because I've read so many posts on BW from people saying thier babies love the snow !

princess absolutely loves the snow.. i found that out a little after i got her in march since it snowed the night and the next couple days.. she'd run all around on her 20 foot leash and just go nuts

My son came over for Thanksgiving and brought his 7 mon. old brindle boy. Our brindle boy is 9 mon. old. OMG...those 2 will wrestle for hours on end. Even tho my baby was leary of the snow the day before, when I let the 2 of them out in the backyard they were in snow heaven. No wrestling..."but mom, it's cold and worse yet WET", but when they discovered doing the boxer burn in the snow was the best thing since food they couldn't do it enough. It was hysterical watching them dart back in forth. They would suddenly stop and look at each other like they were saying "IS THIS COOL OR WHAT?" and then take off again. What a trip they are

Willis too! When he was a baby, he didn't like it the first snowfall. By the second time it snowed, he figured out that he could make snowballs and push them down the hill, try and eat the snow as it was falling, and of course eat all of the snow on teh ground. It was like a giant toy had fallen all over our yard.

I started working a very early morning shift, and have to drag Willis out of bed at 5 AM to go outside. He is always very lethargic at that hour... But one morning in October, it snowed and Willis went from sleepy to superpuppy in about 4 seconds... he bolted outside slid right of the deck jackhammering the snow. Then he ran around for 20 minutes; I had a hard time getting him inside.

Most of my gang are also crazy about the snow. Where I live, NC/SC border, we don't get a whole lot of snow. If we do, it usually isn't until Jan. or Feb. However, earlier this year it snowed almost a record amount in 24 hrs. Jasmine was about 9 mths old. Unfortunately we don't have a fenced in yard so she's not able to go running through the snow. A scary moment: I was getting ready to put the garage door down and Jasmine slipped out the door between my legs. DH was standing like a football player at the door ready to tackle her. She ran towards him then cut to the right in a lickity split. She ran across the cul-de-sac to the neighbors house in a flash. Boy, I had never seen her move so quick. Luckily she did come when called and she was brought inside. Almost wish I had a fenced in yard so all dogs can run instead of tearing through the house and up and down the stairs. Needless to say she thoroughly enjoyed the snow! And she kept ringing the bell a lot also! Got to love them characters.

Samson is completely obsessed... he likes it best when we shovel... he will go to where we are throwing the snow and jump like crazy at every shovelful... he was a puppy last year for his first snow, and his best friend Kody experienced his first snow this year. My friend said that he had to clear an area for Kody to do his business in, because he didnt know about the snow, and refused to step in it. I told him to bring Kody over and as soon as Kody saw how much fun Samson was having in the snow, he joined right in! Now the two of them have "snow adventures" every time it snows...

Guinness went nuts... we had to let him out every 5-10 minutes the day after it snowed in chicago... He couldn't figure out where the snowballs went either...it was pretty funny!!!
