Boxer Insane
I don't know where to start. . But my little brown puppy has left me.
As I was away on my business trip, my brother in law was taking care of him.. he told me he was not eating... not unusual for Snatch not to eat when I was away... but I had that feeling.. you know.. that bad gutt feeling..
DH took him from his brother when he came back into town on Monday, and he told me Snatch was... eating a little better, coughing less...
I came home on Thursday evening. Snatch was a happy little guy, wiggle butt and bringing me all his toys as he and Oxford were greeting me. I took them out, no problem..
I saw his eyes were a bit darker... I noticed...
As I was unpacking my suitcase, Snatch laid by me, as usual..
I decided to go check out the mail before the sun went down and took the boys. Happy Snatch couldn't wait to get in his harness for a walk.
Downstairs I met my neighbour and friend walking both her dogs. We started walking towards the mail boxes, doggies were trotting happily..
Then I felt a thug on the leash behind me... Snatch was wobbly.. he made a side step amd collapsed. I ... I knew. I held him really tight, petting him and trying to soothe him. Oxy laid by us. He knew too.. My friend rushed to go get my husband..
Snatch went very quickly.. the longest seconds of my life. A (totally unknown) neighbour held my shoulder. She must have had seen me crying holding my dog in the middle of the parking lot...
I carried his little body to the grass after he had passed. My husband arrived too late. He felt so bad he wasn't there to say goodbye...
I know it was time. I believe he waited for me to say bye before he went to doggy heaven. I can't stop the tears from rolling down my cheeks.. it's hard. We miss him. Oxy whimpered as he licked his little motionless face as we carried him to the car.. he had said his goodbyes..
I feel so empty... so unreal...
